RENOVATION OF RV466

Along a backroad in rural Norway sits an 80 year old cabin, untouched for 25 years. This project explores ways to modernize it without introducing excessive insulation and ventilation systems. By building a massless solar wall on the southern face, we achieve passive heating and ventilation - to be supplemented by heat pumps. The main focus of the project is also to serve as an exercise in architectural detailing.
